An apple a day……………is the old adage true?

A client once asked me that besides water (the most essential nutrient), what is one thing a person should consume every day?

My response…….one organic apple!

Apples are a fountain of nutrients.  They are an excellent source of antioxidants, including Vitamin C which is critical for daily immune function.  Apples contain pectin, which is an excellent source of fiber and can lower cholesterol levels.  Why organic?  Organic apples TASTE better and do not contain residual pesticides like conventional apples.
